Python at Codecademy. No Snakes Allowed Though

Sure look there’s been a huge demand for a new programming language, as the announcement came with the title – You Asked. We Listened. Codecademy yesterday announced the arrival of a new programming language: Python!

Python is a great language with applications in many different fields. Its clean, readable syntax makes it a favorite for beginning programmers – say goodbye to all of those braces and semicolons.

Python is currently in use at places like Google, NASA, and Disney Animation. Also, it has an active community of developers and offers great module support – this means you can easily use code that others have written to accomplish all kinds of tasks!

Python is a powerful and expressive language that has very simple syntax. If you’re unsure of which programming language to learn, Python is a great choice. The language is used in a variety of disciplines: application, web, and game development. Python can do it all. Courses are based on Python 2.7.3.

The Python training is divided into 4 units and over 100 exercises. Start now!

About Codecademy
Codecademy was created out of the frustrations Zach and Ryan felt with learning how to program. Tired with less effective text and video resources, they teamed up to create Codecademy, a better, more interactive way to learn programming by actually coding. This is just the beginning. Join us as we make it easy for everyone to love and learn how to code.
